Refund policy

We want you to love what you purchase from Practical Lettering Studio. If something isn't right, we'll help you find the quickest path to a fix, exchange, or refund.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued within 15 days of purchase under the following conditions:

  • Unused files: The font files must not have been embedded, or used in any published, commercial, or client work.
  • No distribution: The font files must not have been shared, transferred, or otherwise distributed to any third party.
  • Proof of purchase: You must provide your original order number or receipt.

Technical Issues

If you experience a verifiable technical problem with a font that we cannot resolve promptly, we will issue a full refund.

Wrong License or Style

If you purchased the wrong license tier or font style, we're happy to correct it. In these cases, we'll adjust your order by charging or refunding the price difference rather than processing a full return.

Non-Refundable

We cannot accept returns or provide refunds for:

  • Purchases older than 15 days.
  • Font files that have been embedded in commercial work.
  • Custom or commissioned work.

EU Customers — Right of Withdrawal

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the order date (the "cooling-off period") under EU Directive 2023/2673 and the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

However, by completing your purchase and accessing your download, you expressly consent to immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the download has begun, in accordance with Article 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive.

If you have not yet accessed or downloaded your files, you may exercise your right of withdrawal before delivery begins. To do so:

  1. Log in to your account at account.practicallettering.com and submit a withdrawal request from your order, or
  2. Contact us at hello@practicallettering.com with your name and order number.

We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal request by email and process your refund within 14 days.

After a Refund

Your font license is revoked. Please delete all copies, uninstall the fonts from every device, and remove/replace the font in your work.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges of digital font files. If you would like to switch to a different font, please contact us to arrange a refund (if eligible) and repurchase the desired style or license.
