Font vs Typeface

We tend to use "font" interchangeably with "typeface".

But to be specific - "typeface" is the design of the letterforms and "font" is the software that renders the design in a specific weight/style.

What’s included in my font download?

You’ll receive desktop fonts (OTF/TTF). If a family includes a variable font, a variable TTF file is also included.

How do I use a font?

The letterforms, spacing and kerning are all included in a font file. These font files can be installed on a computer or tablet.

How do I install the fonts?

Fonts are emailed to you in a zip file. After unzipping the file, you'll find the font files with an .otf or .ttf extension.

MacOS:
1) Unzip your download.
2) Double-click the .otf (or .ttf) to launch Apple’s FontBook utility. Click “Install.”
3) Restart design apps to see the fonts.

Windows:
1) Unzip your download.
2) Double click the .otf/.ttf and when the font utility opens, click the “Install.” button.
3) Restart your design apps.

iPad (Procreate):
1) In the Files app, unzip your download (tap the `.zip` → Uncompress).
2) Open Procreate - Drag-and-drop, use AirDrop, or go to Actions (wrench) → Add → Add text → in the font panel tap Import Font and pick the `.otf`/`.ttf` from Files.
3) Your font will appear in Procreate’s font list. If it doesn’t show immediately, close and reopen Procreate and try again.

Can I get a student/nonprofit discount?

Yes! Email us from your school/org domain for an educational or nonprofit discount before purchasing.

Can I give the font to my client?

Short answer: not the font files themselves. Your license covers you (and your team) as the licensee - it doesn’t permit redistributing the font software to another company.

You’re always welcome to deliver final artwork (with text converted to outlines), but if your client needs to open and edit live text, they’ll need their own license sized to their team.

What's your refund policy?

We want you to love your purchase. Reach out and we’ll help you find the quickest path to a fix or refund.

If something’s wrong with the fonts you purchased, you can request a refund within 15 days from purchase.

  • Eligibility: Refunds are approved when the font files haven’t been installed, embedded, or used in published/commercial work, and haven’t been shared with third parties.
  • Technical issues: If there’s a verifiable problem we can’t fix promptly, we’ll refund your purchase.
  • Wrong license or style: We’ll exchange or upgrade by charging/refunding the difference rather than doing a full return.
  • Non-refundable: Orders older than 15 days; files that were installed/used/embedded or distributed; custom commissions.

After a full refund: Your font license is revoked. You agree to delete all copies, uninstall the fonts from every device, and remove/replace the font in any work (including logos, packaging, apps and websites) where it was used.
